So very proud of today’s #HarmoniousHeroes event at St Mary’s Primary, Llanelli.

Year 5 & 6 pupils became budding interviewers, researchers, and storytellers—welcoming 12 inspiring local professionals working in #GreenSkills, #DigitalFutures, and #SocialEnterprise and many more across #Carmarthenshire.

What made this morning extraordinary wasn’t just the calibre of the visiting contributors (who were incredible!)—but the professionalism, preparation, and purposeful curiosity shown by the children themselves.

They:
Researched each visitor in advance
Prepared thoughtful, imaginative questions
Organised their own note-taking and recordings

This was more than a careers event—it was a vivid intergenerational celebration of hope, local role models, and what it means to spot and grow key competences for the future from a young age.

Huge thanks to all involved—and this is just the beginning… the story continues at our Showcase Event on 19th June at Llanelly House.

Big thank you to St Mary’s staff and pupils for such a magnificence display if inquiry, curiosity, and professionalism.

A huge thank you to our 12 extraordinary contributors who brought the world of green futures to life today. From bees to buildings, gardens to gadgets, digital worlds to waste reduction, these local change-makers shared how their everyday work helps create a more sustainable, fair and innovative future. Their presence sparked deep questions, big ideas, and real excitement.

Each visitor brought their own superpowers — creativity, care, resilience, problem-solving — helping the pupils connect the dots between who they are now and who they might become. Special appreciation to our local beekeeper who even bought his bees.

These inspiring role models didn’t just showcase jobs — they embodied the entrepreneurial competences, values, and superpowers that can grow right here in Carmarthenshire. We can’t wait to continue this journey together at the Harmonious Heroes Showcase on 19 June at Llanelly House!
